AR UNIVERSE / Privacy Policy

Your space stays yours.

This policy explains how AR Universe and its support website handle information. The app does not require an account and has no advertising or analytics SDK.

Who is responsible

Camera, AR tracking and selfies

Camera frames and spatial tracking are processed on your device to place and display AR scenes. The app does not upload camera frames or room maps to a developer-operated server.

Camera access is optional until you open an AR scene and can be revoked in iPhone Settings. The app does not request precise location access or record the microphone. Optional music and weather audio are generated on the device and may be included in your exported video when enabled.

TrueDepth and face data

When you choose front-camera selfie mode on a supported iPhone, AR Universe uses Apple ARKit face tracking (ARFaceTrackingConfiguration), including the TrueDepth camera where available, to run the selfie AR session and estimate lighting for virtual objects. ARKit processes the camera image and may produce face position and orientation, face geometry and facial-expression coefficients in device memory. AR Universe does not read or extract face geometry, expression coefficients, eye positions or a facial identity; its virtual objects are attached to the camera, not to a face mesh.

This processing is used only to display the live selfie composition and its lighting. We do not use face data for identification, authentication, advertising, analytics, profiling, or AI training. Rear-camera room scenes use world tracking instead of face tracking.

Face-tracking data is processed only on your device during the AR session. AR Universe does not save it to files, a database, backups or a server, and does not transmit it to the developer or share it with any third party. Tracking pauses when the scene is inactive; the temporary session data is released when the session is disposed of. We retain no face-tracking records and therefore have no stored face-tracking data to delete.

If you deliberately capture a selfie photo or video, the rendered image can contain your visible face. That media contains the camera composition, not an exported ARKit face mesh or expression-coefficient record. It stays on your device unless you choose to share it. You can save it to Photos or send it to a destination you select using the system share sheet. Photos/iCloud settings and the selected destination govern any subsequent syncing or handling of that copy. Delete saved media in Photos and any destination where you shared it; deleting the app does not delete those exported copies.

Scenes and recordings on your device

Saved universes, object settings, previews and optional AR room maps are kept in the app's local storage. iOS backups may include app data according to your Apple backup settings.

Photos access is used to add the photos and videos you choose to save. The app does not request access to read your entire photo library. Exports are sent to another app or service only when you choose a destination in the system share sheet. That destination handles the copy under its own privacy policy.

Purchases

Apple processes payments and subscription management. AR Universe reads StoreKit-verified purchase information, such as the purchased product and its entitlement or expiration status, to unlock Pro. We do not receive your payment card details and do not operate a purchase-tracking server. Apple handles its own account and transaction records under its privacy policy.

If you contact support

Email support is voluntary. Your message, sender address and anything you choose to attach are processed to answer your request, troubleshoot the app and handle privacy questions. Email is handled through our Gmail mailbox and its service provider. The in-app support details contain the app version, build number, iOS version and a description you can write; they do not automatically include images or room maps.

Support correspondence is kept only for as long as needed to resolve and follow up on the request or meet applicable legal obligations. You can ask to access, correct or delete information you sent us by emailing the support address. We may need enough information to verify that the request concerns your correspondence. If a legal obligation prevents deletion, we will explain it. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information that is not needed for support.

This website and external links

These support and legal pages use Google Firebase Hosting. Firebase processes incoming IP addresses to deliver the service, detect abuse and provide usage analysis, and states that it retains IP addresses for a few months. Google services may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable terms and privacy policies.

We have not added website analytics, advertising, tracking cookies, embedded media or a contact-form database. No Firebase SDK is included in the iOS app. Links to Apple, Google, image sources or other websites open services with their own privacy practices.

Your choices and deletion

You can revoke camera and Photos permissions in iPhone Settings, delete saved scenes from My Collection, and remove local app data by deleting the app. Removing the app does not remove exported copies from Photos, other apps or existing backups, and does not cancel an Apple subscription.

We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal information, object to processing, or raise a concern with a privacy authority. Contact us to exercise rights concerning support correspondence; Apple and Google handle requests about information they control.

The app has no registration flow and does not ask for a child's name or age. If a child sends personal information to support, a parent or guardian can contact us to request its deletion, subject to applicable obligations.

Policy updates

Changes to the app or these services may require updates to this policy. The date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes affecting information handled by the app will also be communicated through the app or its release information.
